These womens self defence classes are a scott tobias joke well, i agree with you on that much. most self scott tobias defense classes for women are a joke, but not because they’re intended for women or because a gun is better than open hand combat – because they’re not comprehensive and they’re designed more to boost self confidence than they are to improve or teach self defense skills. of course confidence is one of the most important elements of self defense so they aren’t a complete waste. a gun is the best martial art hogwash. i studied with two different gungfu instructors (one male and one female) who could take a gun away from an armed attacker without a problem. |
