dataguy -- Who exactly are you appealing to with this strategy? It film may sound good to those in your film choir (though not all from the responses here). It will sound ridiculous to those who strongly support the war. The best framing film is real human stories involving people with whom others can empathize. When there isn't personal story, the next best thing is metaphor. No metaphor is required in this case, because it's a case of the most powerful framing of all: A real mom, standing up for a son whose voice has been lost, against an administration that wants to make him a martyr for a cause he did not believe in.
