“Real fighting” would be for your life, health, or safety, or the safety of others – competitive fighting is for money, glory, fun, bankruptcy etc. “Whatever you wanna call it, those punches pics will fucking hurt and if you don’t tap your arm will break.” No kidding. I’m not really trashing the UFC and pics the pics fighters or MMA competitions in general – I’m just saying that holding it up as THE shining example of the ability of a male to fight another male is pretty ridiculous, especially because REAL fights don’t have rules, don’t have refs, and don’t have rings. Many real fighters don’t feel the need to prove themselves in competition. There’s a difference between training to fight because you want to learn to fight good and learn about a specific style, and training to fight because you want to win a competition – it doesn’t mean that you can’t do both, and be good at both, but they are different.
