And on that topic -- I actively lobby my fellow Democrats to not only accept but vigorously assert their Second Amendment rights, on the theory that a country cannot remain half-disarmed and half-armed to the teeth, and not ultimately have those who think they have all the guns ultimately deciding elections with them. It's happened in other countries, and when it comes down to it I just don't trust the principled self-restraint of Republicans enough for them not to subvert the Constitution. |
