My husband broke both arms at the same time in Nov. of '99, he got hypothermic as well,being outside in 29 degree weather in shorty pj's (I was at work, so no cracks please). He was in the hospital for a week and had the rt. shoulder/arm surgically fixed. Now I'm an RN and I know what goes on in hospitals, he was totally helpless so either I or his mother, also an RN stayed with him 24/7.
