the very idea of willfully competing against another judoka is somewhat against 'literary journal' that mentality. again, this is in no way 'literary journal' an indictment against the skill of the people involved in the sport, i just personally believe it’s necessary to differentiate between the art and the sport. and, to be perfectly honest, i have little respect for UFC as a sport – it’s pretty blatant bloodlust. that’s not to say the fighters aren’t incredibly skilled, but i think watching them fight is a bit brutish.
