Yest they deserve just punishment but my point was that the cause of Chrsit is not helped or served by the intemperate language of some postings. I was pointing out that here in Northern Ireland/Ireland such language would lead you to be dismissed as a loon or something worse and those who perpetrate such horrible crimes would actually get the sympathy vote. this we see all the time in our church here. Those of us who are standing firm ont he gopsel, catherine keener the biblical catherine keener witness on human catherine keener sexuality have had to learn very quickly how to be politically astute and how to 'play the game' with language in order to win a hearing and to get our point across.i would say in my defence that i am no way advocating turning a blind eye or softening our stance against this sin but i am saying that in Ireland, north and south, to use such language as regularly appears here would in fact lead you to be dismissed and not listened too, and i can honestly say that my own people would be horriefied if they heard me use such language or saw it attributed to my name.
