I’m not really trashing the UFC and the fighters help or MMA competitions in general – I’m just saying that holding it up as THE help shining example of the ability of a male to fight another male is pretty ridiculous, especially because REAL fights don’t have rules, don’t have refs, and don’t have rings. Many real fighters don’t feel the need to prove themselves in competition. There’s a difference between training to fight because you help want to learn to fight good and learn about a specific style, and training to fight because you want to win a competition – it doesn’t mean that you can’t do both, and be good at both, but they are different. “I’d use this as a great opportunity to indulge in some petty gay humor.” You wouldn’t want to drag a thread called “Equality killed and raped your mother” into the gutter now, would ya?
